- James Ratcliffe is the General Counsel and Director of Recoveries at The Art Loss Register. Before joining the ALR, James practiced as a solicitor in commercial litigation in London. Prior to that, his academic background was in archaeology. James now manages the recoveries at the ALR, working to negotiate solutions to numerous cases involving stolen and looted art and cultural property across the globe.
